Job Summary:

The Speech-Language Pathologist will administer prescribed speech-language therapy plans of care to restore function, prevent disability, and promote maximum activity performance in the patient's home environment.

This role requires a Master's or doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational institution and a Rhode Island Speech-Language Pathologist license. Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathologist license is strongly encouraged but not required.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of six months of clinical experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, with a focus on acute care, acute rehabilitation, sub-acute rehabilitation, long-term care, and/or outpatient rehabilitation.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed speech-language therapy plans of care
  • Perform evaluations, treatments, assessments, and discharges
  • Provide patient and family/caregiver education, home programs, and safety and equipment recommendations
  • Work in a home environment, requiring the ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, carry, walk, ascend/descend stairs, and manage therapy-related equipment

Requirements:

  • Master's or doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational institution
  • Rhode Island Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathologist license strongly encouraged but not required
  • Minimum of six months of clinical experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist

Working Conditions:

The Home Care Speech-Language Pathologist will work in a home environment, requiring the ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, carry, walk, ascend/descend stairs, and manage therapy-related equipment.
