Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Position

About the Role:
KurzSolutions is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to patients in an outpatient setting.
Responsibilities:
- Perform psychiatric evaluations and treatment
- Examine, evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychiatric disorders
- Manage and direct psychiatric services
- Conduct intake evaluations on a routine and emergency basis
- Prepare and review case histories and obtain and evaluate data through interviews
- Prescribe and evaluate the effectiveness of a wide range of therapeutic measures
- Provide psychiatric consultation to mental health patients who present with complicated psychiatric conditions
- Provide psychiatric training for the mental health flight and other physicians as requested by the Chief of Hospital Services
Requirements:
- Master's or doctoral degree in nursing
- Graduate from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Hold and maintain BLS and ACLS certification
- Certified in the specialty as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), or the recognized national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice as appropriate
- At least 5 years' experience working in a mental health clinic
- Board Certification: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Maintain an active, valid, current, and unrestricted license to practice nursing as a Nurse Practitioner from any state or territory of the United States or the District of Columbia
- Ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance
