Maternal Child Health Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Maternal Child Health Nurse Specialist to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to women and infants in our Labor and Delivery service.
About the JobThis is a full-time position working 36 hours per week with benefits. The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients/clients within an assigned unit, utilizing evidence-based practices and protocols to ensure high-quality care.
- Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate the nursing regimen for assigned patients/clients, including assessments, interventions, and education.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary health team members to plan comprehensive patient care programs, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
- A valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
- Holds, or obtains through facility orientation, a valid and current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
