Job Summary:
As a skilled Pharmacist at Upstate University Hospital, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. Your responsibilities will include interpreting medication orders, preparing compounds, and dispensing medications for inpatient and ambulatory care use. You will also provide information to healthcare practitioners to promote the rational use of medications and participate in teaching programs for hospital staff.

Key Responsibilities:
Interpret medication orders and prescriptions to ensure completeness, safety, and rationality
Prepare compounds and dispense medications for inpatient and ambulatory care use
Provide information to healthcare practitioners to promote the rational use of medications
Participate in teaching programs for hospital staff

Requirements:
B.S. in Pharmacy or Pharm.D., NYS license and registration - or eligible - required; completion of PGY1 Pharmacy residency or equivalent experience required. Previous hospital experience is preferred.

Work Schedule:
Rotating shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays (occasional nights as needed)
