Job Overview:

The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the physical aspects of our properties meet our established standards and any applicable laws. The incumbent is responsible for diagnosing problems and making repairs in areas such as HVAC (if certified), electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structures, and household appliances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain physical structures of apartment homes using hand tools and power tools.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance procedures and apartment make readies.
  • Monitor and complete service requests and ensure completion and customer satisfaction in a timely fashion.
  • Respond promptly to all on-call pages/requests.
  • Complete work orders according to company guidelines and safety standards.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in the maintenance shop in an orderly manner and according to company policy.

While performing duties of the job, the incumbent is sometimes required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee must sometimes lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in apartment, residential, or commercial maintenance or related field.
  • EPA Type 1 and 2 Certification Required.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Competencies:

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize work functions.
  • Regular attendance, punctuality, and dependability.

Salary: $18-20 per hour

We offer a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and paid holidays. Our salary range for this position is estimated to be between $37,440 and $41,600 per year, based on a 40-hour workweek.
