Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team as a Senior Healthcare Assistant. This role provides travel opportunities within a 150-mile radius from your home address, allowing you to work in various locations while receiving competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, and no contract requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents.
  • Assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as appropriate, and create a positive dining experience for the resident.
  • Aid providers and nursing staff members with procedures, if needed, and document resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
  • Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse, collect non-invasive body fluid specimens, and gather vital signs.
  • Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed, and maintain all department-specific required certifications.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum age of 16, prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
  • Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
