Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Training Program Manager to join our team at Air National Guard Units. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our members and contribute to the success of our organization.

About the Role:

The Training Program Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and controlling training programs to ensure combat readiness. This includes reviewing the training of all personnel, determining methods to accomplish training, evaluating training progress, and coordinating actions with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive training plans, including Formal Training Schools, Career Development Course (CDC), Professional Military Education (PME), and On-the-Job (OJT) programs.
  • Evaluate training progress, identify areas for improvement, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Unit Training Managers, supervisors, and higher headquarters to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Conduct Staff Assistance Visits (SAVs) to identify root causes of deficiencies and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on training activities, including unit in-and-out processing of personnel.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade, preferably in education and training programs.
  • Knowledge of Army or Air Force education and training programs, including principles and procedures.
  • Experience in performing interviews and counseling techniques, training techniques, and instructional methods.
  • Effective writing skills and ability to edit practices.
