Senior Manufacturing Engineer

At Vu Enterprise, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and programming computer numerical control (CNC) machines.
About the Role:- We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in machining and manufacturing engineering, with experience working with FANUC controls. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T), as well as knowledge of contour heads and horizontal boring mills.
You will be responsible for planning and executing machining operations, including setting up and operating CNC machines, maintaining quality and safety standards, and keeping records. Additionally, you will work closely with numerical control programmers to ensure that new programs or machinery will function properly and meet specifications.
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will also be responsible for troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, and maintaining equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements. You will work collaboratively with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information and ensure smooth production processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain high levels of productivity while ensuring accuracy and quality of machined parts;
- Operate and program CNC machines, including manual and computer numerical control (CNC) machines;
- Plan and execute machining operations, including setup and operation of CNC machines;
- Maintain quality and safety standards, including inspection and testing of machined parts;
- Collaborate with numerical control programmers to ensure proper functioning of new programs or machinery;
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements;
- Work closely with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information and ensure smooth production processes;
- Evaluate experimental procedures and recommend changes or modifications for improved efficiency and adaptability to setup and production;
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including time sheets, inventory levels, and quality control data;
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers to resolve issues and improve processes;
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
- 5+ years of experience in machining and manufacturing engineering, preferably with FANUC controls;
- Strong understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) and contour heads and horizontal boring mills;
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
- Able to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines;
- Familiarity with shop management software and other relevant tools and technologies;
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for long periods;
- Fluency in English, Spanish, and/or Vietnamese preferred but not required.
