Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at RTX. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing program expertise on engineering subsystems, maintaining a baseline of operational products, and providing operations certification training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide program expertise on engineering subsystems and maintain a baseline of operational products
  • Develop and improve operations processes and products
  • Investigate and diagnose unexpected system signatures
  • Support the coordination and implementation of system maintenance tasks
  • Coordinate across multiple contractor organizations, with the customer, and with external system partners
  • Provide on-call support to lead the resolution of system issues
  • Develop, maintain, and upgrade operational training materials and system simulator products
  • Provide classroom lecture and system simulator training
Requirements
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with CI Polygraph security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience developing and maintaining operational procedures, products, and training materials
  • Experience with Linux and scripting languages
  • Ability to interact with key stakeholders, customers, and processes in the IR community
  • Ability to travel, short trips 1-10 times per year
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good presentation, coordination, and communication skills
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks under general supervision
  • Proficiency using MS Office
  • Work within a multi-contractor badge-less team environment
  • Self-motivating with the ability to proactively complete assigned tasks
  • Experience trending and troubleshooting IR systems
  • Experience coordinating and leading teams through problem resolution processes
  • Understanding of large systems and the engineering change process
  • Experience with Radio Frequency (RF), Digital, Power, Thermal, Control, and/or communication systems design and operational use
  • Familiarity with Matlab, Python, TCL/TK, and PERL
