About the Role

This position reports to the Production Manager and is responsible for setting up and assembling circuit breakers and sub-assemblies, electromechanical and electronic assemblies in our Electrification Service facility in Florence, SC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setup and assemble circuit breakers and sub-assemblies, including electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based protective relays, switches, and other electro-mechanical and electronic assemblies.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies and approved manufacturing systems, processes, and procedures to meet production targets.
  • Operate machinery, equipment, power tools, and hand tools available on the floor, and read and interpret technical diagrams and instructions for assembly.
  • Perform assembly operations consisting of wiring to final completion or refurbishment, on circuit breakers, panels, coil winding, and assembly of sub-assemblies and finished parts with small components.
Requirements
  • A high school degree plus 2 or more years of related experience in assembly, or a special combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering configuration and wiring drawings.
  • Ability to follow methods and drawing information required to assemble circuit breakers, panels, relays/switches/electronic assemblies, and other products.
  • Candidates must have a work authorization that permits them to work for Abb Holdings Inc in the US.
