About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our team at CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services, working closely with our surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team during operative procedures, arranging and inventorying sterile set-ups of instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  • Pass items to surgeons and nurses as needed, maintaining a sterile field during procedures.
  • Prepare and move patients, sterilize and clean instruments, equipment, and rooms.
  • Act as an advocate for patients before, during, and after surgery.
  • Scrub on all cases, primarily Gen, Gyn, Robotics, Oral Surgery, Dental, Ortho, and other specialties.
  • Float to give breaks, provide support, and relieve for shifts, as needed.
  • Assist with room turnover and restocking, and pick instruments for next day's cases.
Requirements
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • One year of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
  • Experience in a specialty field preferred.
  • HS Diploma/GED required.
  • Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program required.
  • BLS from the American Heart Association required.
  • Current registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist for associates working in Colorado.
  • Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery (CST) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) required.
