Join our organization as a Residential Program Manager at NORTH SUFFOLK COMMUNITY SERVICES INC. This challenging role requires the right individual to lead and manage staff in a residential program for adults living with developmental disabilities.

About the Role

This position involves supervising, training, and evaluating staff while ensuring the health and safety of residents. You will be responsible for arranging staff schedules, creating a Positive Behavior Supports atmosphere, and overseeing the use of the ISP system.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will participate in assessing person referrals, admissions, and discharges, and ensure that program and person records are current and comprehensive. You will also liaison with families/guardians, DDS, and other outside service providers.

About the Job Description
  • Recruit, Train, Supervise, Evaluate, and Facilitate Progressive Discipline: Recruit, train, supervise, evaluate, and facilitate progressive discipline as needed for all staff in conjunction with the Residential Services Coordinator.
  • Arrange Staff Schedules: Arrange staff schedules to meet the health and safety requirements, as well as the individual needs of the people.
  • Create a Positive Behavior Supports Atmosphere: Create a Positive Behavior Supports atmosphere in the programs, following the PBS model.
  • Oversee ISP System: Oversee use of the ISP system to complete ISP planning and ensure related documentation is completed in a timely manner.
  • Participate in Assessments: Participate in the assessment of person referrals, admissions, and discharges.
  • Maintain Records: Ensure the program and person records are current, comprehensive and meet agency and funding source standards.
  • Liaison with Families/Guardians: Liaison with families/guardians, DDS, and other outside service providers.
  • Housekeeping and Maintenance: Supervise and participate in the housekeeping and maintenance of the house and vehicle.
  • Program Budget: Participate in the development of the program budget, and monitor the program expenses.
  • Medication Management: Monitor medications in accordance with MAP regulations.
  • Train Newly Hired Employees: Teach NSCS trainings to newly hired employees.
About the Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Two years experience in human services and supervisory experience required.
  • Certifications: Must obtain Massachusetts MAP & CPR/First Aide certification within five (5) continuous months of hire (training provided).
  • Licenses: Valid Mass driver's license required.
