Job Description

The Process Engineering Intern will work closely with the R&D Team to optimize EnPower's electrode and cell manufacturing processes. This involves learning multiple electrode or cell manufacturing processes, working with Process or Cell Engineers to optimize production, and providing feedback on processability and recommending changes.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and master electrode or cell manufacturing processes, including mixing, coating, assembly, and finishing.
  • Collaborate with Process or Cell Engineers to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure quality control standards are met by understanding electrode production specifications.
  • Use computer software to record detailed data and observations.
  • Provide feedback to Cell Engineers and Engineering Teams on processing challenges and opportunities.
  • Contribute to hands-on work for various projects and experiments.
  • Support development efforts related to production process development, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Participate in engineering process review discussions as needed.
  • Maintain a safe working environment while adhering to health and safety laws.

Qualifications

  • Working towards a B.S. in an Engineering-related field.
  • 1+ years of experience working with lab-scale or manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience using the scientific method to solve problems.
  • Detailed work ethic, close attention to detail, and precise communication.
  • Microsoft office proficiency and computer literacy.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive motions and lifting for extended periods.
  • Prior experience in electrode/cell manufacturing techniques is a plus.
