We are seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have current Medication Aide Certification for NC and the ability to work well under pressure, providing exceptional customer service to residents and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, administer, and document oral and/or topical medications as ordered by licensed physicians.
  • Verify resident identity before administering medication/treatment and ensure that prescribed medication for one resident is not administered to another.
  • Observe and verify that medication is ingested or applied as directed, documenting any instances where prescribed medication is not administered.
  • Assist with medication charting as directed by the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse and report needs for floor stock medications and supplies.
  • Order prescribed medications, supplies, and equipment as necessary and follow facility policies and procedures regarding the destruction of medications.

Requirements:

  • Current Medication Aide Certification for NC.
  • Active CPR certification preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications and internet navigation.
  • Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.

Compensation and Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
