**Job Summary:

The Driver Supervisor - Team Lead will lead a team of delivery personnel and maintain delivery standards as established by management teams. The successful candidate will work with and train delivery personnel to increase efficiencies and effectiveness at retail, manage vacation schedules to ensure adequate route coverage, and participate in weekly department meetings to ensure delivery 'team' concept.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with and train delivery personnel to increase performance standards
  • Manage vacation schedules to ensure adequate route coverage
  • Participate in weekly department meetings to ensure delivery 'team' concept
  • Help manage the 'Hot Shot Program'
  • Attend all scheduled meetings
  • Other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor

**Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Driver Supervisor - Team Lead will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. This includes interviewing and hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

**Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

**Education and/or Experience:

Position requires knowledge of delivery operation techniques, with strong organization and follow-up skills. Must possess excellent written/verbal skills and flexibility to address several opportunities/issues at one time efficiently. Basic computer literacy also required. Valid CDL and current DOT physical condition are required.

**Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Must meet company driver qualifications. Maintain Class A Commercial Driver's License.

**Communication Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and employees.

**Mathematical Skills:

Ability to perform all basic math and business math functions.

**Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
