Job Summary:

As a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant at Bruker, you will play a key role in the management and preparation of SEC and other financial regulatory filings. This includes Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and the annual Proxy. You will actively participate in the preparation of financial data utilized in the preparation and review of periodic SEC 10-Q, 10-K; 8-K and definitive proxy statement filings.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and prepare SEC and other financial regulatory filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and the annual Proxy.
  • Participate in the preparation of financial data utilized in the preparation and review of periodic SEC 10-Q, 10-K; 8-K and definitive proxy statement filings.
  • Work closely with FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, business units, senior management, and other external parties (attorneys, auditors) to accurately prepare and timely file SEC documents.
  • Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures, including segment reporting, pension, AOCI roll forward review, embedded derivatives, forward contracts, other charges, earnings per share analysis, and equity award disclosures.
  • Support quarterly earnings release process and PowerPoint presentation materials to Audit Committee and executive management.
  • Collaborate to ensure all reports comply with applicable FASB and SEC regulations, professional standards, and organization policies.
  • Prepare and assist with applicable government surveys and compliance forms.
  • Research and summarize various accounting and SEC reporting issues and questions that arise at the corporate and group levels.
  • Prepare relevant workpapers to support the quarterly review of leases and document related internal controls.
  • Assist with managing the relationship with the external auditors and the completion of the annual audit and quarterly reviews.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and testing of the Company's finance and accounting control policies and procedures.
  • Perform special financial and other ad-hoc projects as needed.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of Accountant work experience, including direct experience in Corporate Finance and Accounting. Big Four accounting/audit work experience preferred. CPA preferred.
  • Advanced experience with MS Office products - Excel, PowerPoint, Word proficiency.
  • SAP and consolidation software (such as BPC, Hyperion Infor) and Active Disclosure work experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of all aspects of Finance and Accounting, including US accounting regulations, SEC regulations, and Company accounting policies and practices.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and details effectively with the ability to manage non-negotiable timelines.
  • Excellent verbal, written, computer, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  • Operates with the highest standard of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.
