Pediatric Neuro Oncology Specialist

The Department of Pediatrics at the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System is seeking a Pediatric Neuro-Oncologist to support the program of Pediatric Neuro-Oncology. As a key member of the team, you will provide continuity of care for new and existing patients, working closely with an outstanding team of neurosurgeons and neuroradiology experts. The division is part of the NCI-designated Massey Cancer Center and offers a Pediatric Hematology-Oncology fellowship with support for a fourth year.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in the area of Critical Care Medicine.
• Participate in clinical, translational, and outcomes research, working closely with the division to pursue active research projects.
• Serve on departmental, hospital, or School of Medicine level committees, as well as professional activities through journal review, conference presentations, etc.
• Provide clinical care as a pediatric neuro-oncologist for the Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Hematology Oncology.
Requirements:
• Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
• Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in an academic medical center.
