Job Summary

The Precision Companies are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join their team. As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for performing fabrication of bases, guards, stands, frames, and related sub-assemblies from structural steel, aluminum, and sheet metal to close tolerances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Joining together components of fabricated sheet metal assemblies
  • Cutting, trimming, or scarfing metal objects to dimensions as specified by layout, work orders, or blueprints
  • Laying out, positioning, aligning, and securing parts and assemblies prior to assembly
  • Operating fabricating machines such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, grinders, and drill presses
  • Positioning, aligning, fitting, and welding parts to form complete units or subunits
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials requirements and task sequences
Requirements
  • High school degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years aircraft structural repair experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Able to obtain Security Clearance
  • Capable of working with little or no direct supervision
Capabilities
  • Skilled in general mechanical abilities
  • Skilled in general aerospace fabrication
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layout to tight tolerances
  • Preparation of structural metal products for welding and riveting
Physical Requirements

The employee must have the ability to perform light to heavy lifting and positioning of work pieces up to seventy pounds, standing, bending, stooping, utilizing overhead cranes, pallet jacks, constant standing, walking, and working in awkward positions.
