Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist Role at Norman Regional Health System

The Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist will be a vital member of our innovative cardiovascular program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and maintaining a sterile environment during procedures. This role requires collaboration with a team of cardiologists and electrophysiologists to prepare equipment, assess patient conditions, and serve as a mentor for new staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care and Preparation: Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care throughout procedures.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Prepare and maintain equipment before and during procedures to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Sterile Environment: Establish and maintain a sterile environment to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
  • Mentorship and Collaboration: Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation and training.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Certifications: Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) or registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
  • Education: Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Experience: One year of experience working in a Cath Lab is preferred but not required.
  • Licensure and Registration: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) training, ACLS certification within six months of hire, and maintenance through duration of employment.
