Progressive Care Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Progressive Care Registered Nurse. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe and effective delivery of care.

Heart Hospital of Austin is a 58-bed hospital that specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. We have an advanced Executive Wellness Program and six operating rooms, including three hybrid ORs. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and making a positive impact on our community.

Job Summary

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse will perform patient assessments, develop individualized plans of care, and implement and evaluate care. This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
  • Implement and evaluate care, ensuring safe and effective delivery
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Able to recognize cardiac rhythms - preferred
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - preferred
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required as per St. David's Healthcare policy
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification - required within 90 days of hire
