Veterinary Surgery Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Technician Surgery to join our team at Ethos Veterinary Health. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in veterinary surgery and possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Job OverviewThe primary function of this role is to provide support to our Specialist with diagnostics, treatments, and procedures while ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients. This includes managing the daily OR schedule, preparing patients for induction, monitoring patient vitals, and documenting any concerns or interventions.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation and setup of the OR station, including preparation of drugs, fluids, and CRIs.
- Assisting the Anesthetist with pre-op checklist, induction, and intubation of patients.
- Monitoring patient vitals and identifying normal vs abnormal values.
- Documentation of patient information, including vital signs, problems, and interventions.
- Knowledge of proper surgical scrubbing, gowning, and gloving techniques.
- Instrument and equipment care, including cleaning, maintenance, packing, and sterilization.
- Post-operative care, including recovery and pain management.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree and/or technician certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in veterinary surgery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and multitask.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Estimated salary range: $28-$32 per hour based on experience.
