Job Title: Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Boulder Centre for Orthopedics and Spine. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in providing top-notch medical services.

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient care, administrative tasks, and clinical procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with minor procedures.
  • Manage patient records, appointments, and insurance details to ensure accurate and efficient clinic operations.
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in exam rooms and supply areas, adhering to infection control protocols for patient safety.
  • Demonstrate strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Perform a wide range of clinical tasks, including obtaining vital signs, assisting with minor surgeries, and conducting laboratory procedures in accordance with established protocols and best practices.
  • Actively engage in patient education initiatives, providing clear instructions on home care strategies and proper use of assistive devices to promote optimal recovery and wellness.
  • Remain flexible and responsive to evolving clinic needs, readily taking on additional responsibilities as delegated by supervisors to support the team and enhance patient care delivery.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) required.
  • Completion of a medical assistant diploma or certification from an accredited vocational institution, or completion of a medical assisting course at a community college is preferred.
  • One year of recent experience working in a medical facility as a medical assistant preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in tasks such as taking vital signs, venipuncture, and injections is required.
