Recreation Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Recreation Therapist, Art Therapist, or Music Therapist to join our team at Gulfport Behavioral Health System. As a member of our interdisciplinary treatment team, you will be responsible for planning and implementing recreation activities for patients in our child, adolescent, adult, and military programs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement treatment plans that promote patient engagement and recovery
- Collaborate with the treatment team to define and achieve treatment goals
- Provide continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational, Art, Music, or Recreation Therapy, or a related field
- One year of experience in a psychiatric setting, with knowledge of patient care techniques and mental illness
- Certification or licensure in Art, Occupational, Recreation, or Music Therapy
