About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Care Companion to join our team at Griswold Home Care for Sussex & Kent Counties.

Job Summary

This is a part-time opportunity that requires providing non-medical elderly care and home companionship to seniors in the comfort of their own homes. As a Home Care Companion, you will be responsible for assisting with daily tasks, promoting independence, and enhancing the quality of life for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing gentle and professional assistance with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Helping clients maintain proper personal hygiene and dignity
  • Assisting with various activities like laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation
  • Providing companionship and social interaction to clients with dementia or cognitive impairments
  • Completing documentation for each shift worked and submitting timely updates
  • Communicating regularly with our office about client needs and condition
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable transportation
  • Kind and patient demeanor
  • Previous experience in home care is preferred but not required
