Medical Scheduler Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Medical Scheduler Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring patients are correctly scheduled for appointments and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have experience in scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling patient appointments as required. Additionally, they should be able to verify patients' demographic information and ensure sufficient time is allocated to each appointment.
A successful Scheduler Assistant should possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments as required.
- Verify patients' demographic information.
- Ensure sufficient time is allocated to each appointment.
- Answer patients' questions regarding basic medical tests and procedures.
- Provide instructions to patients to ensure they are prepared for examinations and procedures.
- Confirm patient appointments.
Requirements:
- MEDICAL ASSISTING ASSOCIATES DEGREE AND CERTIFICATION -- AAMA (CMA) OR AMT (RMA)
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical office setting.
- Proven experience working in a medical office.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance plans.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- The ability to type and file accurately.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Good telephone etiquette.
