Gastroenterologist Opportunity in Wisconsin

In collaboration with Hayman Daugherty Associates, Inc., we seek a skilled and experienced Gastroenterologist to join our team in a growing community near Abbotsford, WI. This temporary opportunity offers a flexible start date as soon as possible and extends until the permanent position is filled.
About the Position:
This role will involve delivering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient gastrointestinal care to a diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and a strong clinical foundation in gastroenterology. They should be proficient in performing endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies and EGDs, possess effective communication and collaboration skills, and demonstrate a commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient gastrointestinal care to a diverse patient population
- Conduct thorough patient histories and physical examinations, diagnose digestive diseases, and develop effective treatment plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and other GI procedures
- Prescribe medications and provide ongoing medical management for patients with chronic digestive conditions
- Perform admissions for inpatients with gastrointestinal issues and manage their care throughout their hospital stay
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in hospital rounds and provide care for assigned patients on the inpatient unit
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Epic electronic medical record system
Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted Wisconsin (WI) medical license or eligible for Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) privileges
- Board-certified in Internal Medicine with a fellowship in Gastroenterology is mandatory
- Experience in a hospital setting managing adult patients with gastrointestinal disorders is preferred
Compensation and Benefits:
This locum tenens opportunity offers a competitive salary range of $300,000 - $450,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
