Hotel Maintenance Technician

Maintains and repairs the physical structures of hotel buildings and grounds by performing a variety of tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Cleans and maintains internal areas of hotel buildings, including storage rooms, parking lots, public areas, banquet rooms, and guest rooms.
- Repairs and maintains buildings' plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts.
- Replaces worn or damaged parts in machines and equipment, such as vehicles, vacuum cleaners, and riding mowers.
- Monitors hotel swimming pools and ensures proper sanitation and chemical usage.
- Cuts grass and trims weeds, constructs decorative flower garden borders, digs flower beds, and plants flowers on property.
- Repairs parking lots and sidewalks with asphalt, cold patching materials, and concrete.
- Operates snow removal equipment to maintain parking lots and sidewalks.
- Repairs, paints, or replaces building interior walls, trim, wood, brick, stone, and concrete.
- Assists other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.
- Greets guests in a warm and friendly manner and addresses any maintenance concerns quickly and efficiently.
- Works closely with other departments to ensure prompt response to guest requests for services and repairs.
- Assists in the security of the property, including vehicles, tools, furniture, supplies, key cards, and guests.
- Uses materials, chemicals, and tools safely to avoid waste, unnecessary damage, or accidents.
- Participates in property safety and preventative maintenance programs to ensure a safe and hazard-free working environment.
- Assists with setting up, tearing down, and cleaning banquet and meeting rooms as assigned.
- Runs errands and drives as necessary to meet business needs.Requirements
The physical demands of this job include standing, walking, and using hands to handle, grasp, or type. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The employee must follow proper safety precautions at all times to avoid injuries.
