Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team at Partners in Special Education. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students with communication and language needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in school IEP and SST teams to contribute to problem-solving and program planning.
• Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to each student's communication and language profile.
• Utilize a range of intervention approaches, including direct individual or group therapy, school program consultation, and home program support.
• Collaborate in the development and implementation of IEPs to monitor progress towards specific communication and language goals.
• Maintain accurate professional records of assessment and intervention.
• Perform other duties as assigned, potentially across multiple locations.

Requirements:

• Possess the ability to administer and interpret standardized assessment tools, recommending programming that caters to diverse populations.
• Be able to assess communication and language learning outcomes using various assessment procedures, including formal and informal testing, observation, and ongoing monitoring of performance.
• Implement strategies, activities, and techniques to promote quality student performance in communication and language development.
• Stay current with speech-language pathology approaches and practices, as well as content-related pedagogy.
• Have knowledge of curriculum and instruction programs proven to be beneficial for students with special learning needs.
• Be able to provide in-person and virtual/online speech services.
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Be able to effectively communicate with students, parents, and teachers.

Education and Experience:

• Hold a valid California Credential authorizing service as a speech/language pathologist or speech specialist; California Speech/Language Pathology license or Clinical Rehabilitative Services Credential or equivalent.
• Have experience with online platforms for service delivery and assessment.
