Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team in the Cath/IR Department. As a key member of our team, you will assist with the performance of technical procedures, including percutaneous diagnostic and interventional cardiac/vascular procedures and open surgical procedures under the direct supervision of a physician.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the performance of technical procedures, including percutaneous diagnostic and interventional cardiac/vascular procedures and open surgical procedures under the direct supervision of a physician.
- Participate in all daily duties necessary to perform high-quality patient care and imaging within the Cath/IR Department.
- Obtain optimal radiographs and assist the physician in an aseptic environment.
- Monitor patients and demonstrate knowledge of appropriate response to changes in patient condition.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of complex diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular equipment/supplies and assist with their use.
- Be available for on-call shifts as necessary.
Requirements
- Graduate of a two-year invasive cardiovascular program or successful completion of a formal Radiologic Technologist program.
- Washington Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification or Washington Radiologic Technologist certification.
- National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International or National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association and National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association.
- 1 year of previous cath lab experience and 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology.
