Costume Artisan

Job Summary:

The Costume Builder position at Six Flags is a creative and dynamic role that requires a high level of skill and attention to detail. As a Costume Builder, you will be responsible for designing and constructing costumes for various shows and attractions within the park.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and create costumes for shows and attractions, working closely with entertainment and production management to ensure a high level of quality and accuracy.

• Collaborate with senior costume builders to develop and implement new costume designs and ideas.

• Maintain a safe and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.

• Operate industrial sewing machines, overlock, roll edge hemmer, commercial steam iron, commercial laundry equipment, and hand sewing to create high-quality costumes.

• Pattern draft and fabric cut to create custom costumes for characters and shows.

• Work as a dresser in entertainment venues as needed, ensuring a smooth and efficient show experience.

Requirements:

• Physically able to be on feet for entire eight hour shift.

• Knowledge of construction of basic garments and show costuming.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, communicating effectively with colleagues and management.

• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure, maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
