Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Mental Health Unit team. As an RN I/II/III, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, focusing on their physical, psychological, spiritual, social, cultural, and educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide basic nursing care in predictable situations to a limited number of patients under direct supervision.
  • Render individualized comprehensive nursing care to meet patients' physical, psychological, spiritual, social, cultural, and educational needs.
  • Participate in hospital committees and teams as appropriate.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), TEAM certification within 90 days of hire.
  • New graduate RNs or RNs with less than one year of current acute care or comparable experience; or RNs with no nursing experience in the past five years.
