Job Summary
Catholic Health Services is seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nurses, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, height, and weight.
- Assist with personal hygiene and activities of daily living (ADLs), documenting as necessary.
- Deliver nourishments and water according to schedules or requests.
- Communicate any patient changes or concerns to the nurse during each shift.
- Respond to call lights within a reasonable timeframe.
- Maintain patient safety at all times.
Additional Duties
- Follow nurse instructions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide floor orientation to new employees as needed.
- Be flexible with assignment changes due to census fluctuations.
- Keep certifications and mandatory skill updates current.
- Comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Float to other units as assigned to meet patient care needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Leadership Opportunities
- May serve as an interim department leader depending on need.
