Clinical Reimbursement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Reimbursement Specialist to join our team at Vi Living. This is a full-time position that offers a unique blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) processes, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and optimizing reimbursement for resident care. In addition, they will provide nursing care while collaborating with various disciplines to develop care plans for residents.
This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical reimbursement and a strong focus on resident needs in a dynamic nursing home environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the MDS and RAI processes, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and optimizing reimbursement for resident care.
- Provide nursing care while collaborating with various disciplines to develop care plans for residents.
- Assist with the coordination of resident care planning processes under the direction of the Director of Nursing or Clinical Rehabilitation Manager.
- Education: Graduation from a School for Registered Nursing is required.
- Work Experience: Minimum 1 year of previous experience in an MDS/Clinical Reimbursement Nurse role is preferred.
- Licensure / Certification, where required:
- Current State Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state where practicing is required. Current CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certifications are required.
- Current First Aid certification is required or must be willing and able to become First Aid certified. Food handlers certification, where required.
