Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our Orthopedic/Sports Medicine team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing clinical support to our providers, ensuring efficient patient flow, and maintaining a safe and clean patient care environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist during office visits, including rooming, examinations, procedures, and treatments as directed
  • Perform clinically appropriate tasks related to coordination of care, such as general patient guidance, test results, prescription refills, etc.
  • Maintain neat, clean, and safe patient care areas
  • Interact with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant training program is strongly preferred
  • Epic experience preferred
  • Medical Assistant experience strongly preferred, particularly in a community-based ambulatory specialty practice setting
  • National Medical Assistant certification with one of the following organizations preferred:
    • American Assoc. of Medical Assistants (AAMA) – Credential: CMA
    • American Medical Technologists (AMT) – Credential: RMA
    • National Healthcare Association (NHA) – Credential: CCMA
    • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) – Credential: NCMA
