**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Maternity Nurse to join our team at Mission Regional Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience

**Job Summary:**

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Labor and Delivery department. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and prioritize patient safety and well-being.

Responsibilities:**

  • Deliver safe and effective patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care that address the physical, emotional, and educational needs of patients and families.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed to ensure timely recovery and discharge.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions of care and comprehensive support for patients and families.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and achieve goals.

Requirements:

  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
  • BLS certification within 30 days and maintain current.
  • ACLS certification within 90 days and maintain current.
  • NRP certification within 90 days and maintain current.
  • Basic Fetal monitoring within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
  • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate within 12 months.
  • STABLE preferred.
