About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Nursing Professional to join our team at Highland General Hospital, part of Alameda Health System. As an Ambulatory Care Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support in our outpatient clinical areas. With your expertise and passion for delivering high-quality care, you will make a significant impact on the lives of our patients and their families.
Job Summary: Under the direction of senior nursing staff, you will perform professional nursing duties, monitor, treat, and educate patients, their families, and the public regarding various medical conditions. Your responsibilities will include recording medical histories and symptoms, performing diagnostic tests and analyzing results, operating medical equipment, administering treatment and medications, making assessments, and creating a plan of care. You will also provide lead direction to other nursing and paraprofessional personnel and perform other duties as assigned and required by the assigned clinical setting.
Duties and Essential Job Functions: We are looking for a team player who can organize, supervise, and make adjustments to ensure the quality of care provided to patients and families. You will participate in implementing patient care standards, infection control standards, and quality assurance criteria. Additionally, you will collaborate with patients and other healthcare providers to deliver coordinated, high-quality care. Some of your key responsibilities will include critically evaluating and using good judgment in unusual or emergent situations, completing patient assessments and triage, recording patient histories, symptoms, and observations, and providing clinical support and direct case management.
Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you must have a Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing Program and be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. You should also have Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification issued by the American Heart Association and Completion of moderate sedation competency. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or higher is preferred, as well as 6 months of experience as a Clinical Nurse I with AHS or equivalent experience in an acute care hospital or specialty area. If your experience is not recent, completion of an approved refresher course may be acceptable.

Salary: This is a Part-Time position with a salary range of $110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience.
