Flexible Per Diem Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Per Diem Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care on an as-needed basis.
Responsibilities:- Deliver exceptional clinical patient care to assigned patients, prioritizing their needs and ensuring timely interventions.
- Maintain current certifications in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), adhering to program requirements for renewal.
- Demonstrate required competence in area of assignment, staying up-to-date with relevant knowledge and best practices.
- Complete comprehensive orientation program, collaborating with Nursing Education to ensure a seamless transition.
- Ensure telephone accessibility for assignment control, promptly notifying unit or care center office of any changes in contact information.
- Submit formal resignation letters two weeks prior to effective date, facilitating smooth transitions and minimizing disruptions.
To be eligible for this role, candidates must possess a Master's degree from a reputable institution, designed to prepare registered nurses for acute/primary health care services. Alternatively, successful completion of an approved supplemental education program, such as a post-Masters NP certificate, is also acceptable.
Qualifications and ExperienceCandidates should demonstrate relevant clinical nursing experience, showcasing their ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments. A strong background in providing high-quality patient care, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, is essential.
Licensing and CertificationCandidates must hold active RN licensure from the DOH/Office of Professions and CNP licensure from the same agency. Additionally, BCLS certification from the AHA and various specialty-specific certifications (e.g., ACLS, NRP, PALS) are highly desirable.
