Restaurant Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at Wingstop - FWS. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and proactively managing our front- and back-of-house teams.

Job Description

The Restaurant Operations Manager will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, including management of staff, inventory, and finances.
  • Providing exceptional customer service by ensuring a clean and welcoming environment, responding to customer complaints, and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Managing the front- and back-of-house teams, including recruitment, selection, training, and performance management.
  • Maintaining accurate records of sales, inventory, and employee performance.
Requirements

To be successful as a Restaurant Operations Manager, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years of previous food service or restaurant supervisory experience.
  • Food Handler Certification required (can be obtained during onboarding training).
  • Experience using a computer and register (POS) system.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, late nights, and holidays.
  • Spanish speaking a plus.
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Acting with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Wingstop - FWS.
  • Recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling team members, in partnership with the District Manager.
  • Working with both the District Manager and Human Resources to manage performance, including coaching, counseling, and disciplining team members with professional maturity.
  • Communicating job expectations to the staff; planning, monitoring, and reviewing performance of employees; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Performing regular restaurant inspections to ensure team and restaurant meet standards.
  • Maintaining a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and set a positive example for the shift team.
  • Tracking inventory and ensuring accurate record keeping.
  • Identifying and resolving issues with food preparation. Helping team handle customer service issues with grace, courtesy, and with the goal of cultivating happy, returning customers.
  • Maintaining safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; proper safety procedures, to include, but not limited to injury reporting, conducting meetings, equipment maintenance, etc., complying with health and legal regulations; maintaining security systems.
  • Accomplishing company goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different job responsibilities; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Meeting restaurant operating policies and standards, including providing quality food products, cash handling, and store safety and security, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintaining operational standards and requirements in the restaurant; identifying and communicating maintenance problems to the Facilities Department; maintaining all facilities to Wingstop's company standards; ensuring communication is passed across organization from the General Manager and District Manager to every team member in the restaurant.
  • Using Company provided tools to coach, mentor, and develop team members to ensure a high-performing restaurant team; leveraging the support of the Restaurant Support Center; ensuring all risk management issues are following company standards.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to drive results through team collaboration to achieve store metrics.
