Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Military Family Life Therapist to join our team at Chenega Corporation.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide face-to-face, non-medical, brief, solution-focused counseling services to children under 18 in situations resulting from life circumstances such as parenting conflicts, stress, personal loss, and deployments.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment to provide information, coaching, training, and education to children.
  • Partner with schools to build coalitions and connect Federal, state, and local resources to support Active Duty, Guard, and Reserve families.
  • Identify family needs and provide a get-well plan in compliance with non-medical counseling scope.
  • Provide face-to-face problem-solving counseling to children when other resources are not available and make appropriate referrals and warm transfers to military and community resources.
  • Develop and/or use approved training and education programs and materials and advise on requests for new or revised presentations by military leadership.
  • Record all required deliverables via portal site, including availability for services tool, activity form submission, and face-to-face and ancillary contact goals.
  • Complete daily timekeeping requirements for both Employer and Government/Prime Contractor.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in a clinically relevant field from an accredited university.
  • Full license to practice independently as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage Family Therapist, or Psychologist.
  • Minimum two years of post-license experience working with children in relationships, behavior management, coping skills, child development, separation, stress management, and family separation.
