Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a contract basis. As a Medical Support Professional, you will provide essential medical support services to individuals with complex needs in the Albany/Eugene area programs.
Responsibilities- Developing Medical Plans: Collaborate with individuals and their support teams to create written medical plans that align with their support plans, ensuring seamless integration of medical and support services.
- Nurse-Patient Relationship: Establish a positive rapport with individuals receiving services, providing emotional support and reassurance while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Tracking Hours and Medication Logs: Accurately record nursing hours provided and prepare monthly medication logs, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Providing Technical Support: Offer guidance and resources to staff members on the correct implementation of medical supports, promoting high-quality care and patient satisfaction.
- Conducting Evaluations and Modifying Protocols: Regularly assess the effectiveness of medical supports and modify protocols as needed to ensure optimal outcomes and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Experience and Education: A minimum of 1 year experience working with individuals with significant and complex medical issues, including rare disorders, and a degree in Nursing (BSN or higher).
- Training and Coaching Ability: Proven ability to train and coach staff members on medical procedures and best practices, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer and skill development.
- Licensure and Certification: Current RN licensure and certification in the state of practice.
- Flexibility and Autonomy: Self-directed with minimal supervision, able to work flexible hours, and adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
- Communication and Advocacy Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret medical terminology, policies, and procedures.
- Mandatory Requirements: Familiarity with teaching and training principles, including nurse delegations, and the ability to act as an advocate for RISE and the individuals we serve.
Estimated Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
