Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Patient Referral Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the referral and precertification processes, ensuring timely patient care and compliance with policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate referral and precertification processes to ensure effective patient care
  • Access and maneuver within electronic medical records (EMR) systems to manage patient orders and documentation
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to adapt to new processes and access third-party websites for approval requests
  • Provide registration coverage as needed to support patient intake
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to streamline patient referrals and ensure compliance with policies
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all referral and authorization activities
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years of healthcare experience required
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently
  • Proficient in navigating EMR systems and third-party websites
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure

Estimated Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 per year

Based on the location, job requirements, and industry standards, we estimate the salary range for this position to be between $55,000 and $65,000 per year.
