Job Description:

At Bank of America, we are guided by a common purpose to help make financial lives better through the power of every connection. To achieve this, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Modeler to join our team.

Key responsibilities include developing and evolving logical and physical data models, establishing target data storage solutions, and coordinating with Data stewards to ensure adherence to data policy requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of complex data architecture, data modeling, and data science tools and libraries. Additionally, they will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Partners with various technology teams to establish data solutions and architecture for large, complex initiatives.
  2. Develops clear and concise responses to questions from senior management and control partners regarding the enterprise data architecture strategy.
  3. Manages multiple priorities in a matrixed environment with attention to detail and accuracy.
  4. Communicates effectively to influence agreement between partners and escalates items as needed to ensure execution activities remain on track.
  5. Ensures all relevant risk, financial, and compliance policies and standards are met.
  6. Manages relationships with business and technology partners and creates an inclusive and healthy working environment to resolve organizational impediments and blockers.
  7. Educates data management teams on enterprise data architectural principles, processes, and routines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degrees or above in fields including but not limited to: Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Process and Mechanical Engineering, Operations Research, Data Science, Accounting, Business Administration.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Expert knowledge of complex data architecture, including modeling and data science tools and libraries, data warehouses, and machine learning.
  • Building data architecture that is optimized for large dataset retrieval, analysis, storage, cleansing, and transformation.
  • Designing, developing, and applying scalable software solutions.
  • Managing large data sets utilizing tools such as Hadoop.
