About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. This is a critical role that requires a compassionate and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional care to pets and their owners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality veterinary care to patients, including examinations, vaccinations, and medical procedures
  • Assist veterinarians with appointments, surgeries, and other medical procedures
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing education on animal care and answering questions
  • Clean and maintain the hospital environment, ensuring a safe and clean space for patients and staff
Requirements:
  • College or college-equivalent education in veterinary technology
  • At least 1 year of experience as a veterinary technician or in a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records systems
