  • Analyzing client needs and developing customized insurance solutions to meet their goals.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients through regular communication, timely issue resolution, and proactive risk management advice.
  • Working closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to pursue them.
  • Collaborating with underwriters to ensure seamless transaction processing and optimal coverage for clients.
  • Managing client expectations and communicating effectively about policy terms, pricing, and other key aspects of their insurance program.
  • Developing and implementing effective account plans to drive growth, retention, and customer satisfaction.
  • Staying up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments to provide informed guidance to clients.
  • Maintaining accurate records of client interactions, transactions, and correspondence in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Participating in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as risk management, insurance products, and sales techniques.
  • Evaluating and mitigating potential risks associated with client accounts to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that client concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, finance, or insurance.
  • 8+ years of experience in a brokerage role, preferably in an Account Executive capacity.
  • Strong understanding of general liability, workers' compensation, property, crime, inland marine, group automobile, fiduciary, and related lines of business.
  • Knowledge of insurance carriers' risk appetite and industry preferences.
  • Ability to develop innovative and customized business solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate confidently with C-suite executives in various industries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex situations and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong negotiation and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Excel, and PowerPoint, with experience on Vision or Applied systems a plus.
  • New Jersey or New York P&C license preferred.
  • Certifications such as CPCU or ARM may be beneficial.
