We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Area Specialist to join our team at Baptist Memorial Health Care. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.
Job SummaryThe Patient Care Area Specialist will be responsible for maintaining patient and non-patient care areas within the hospital, ensuring they are safe and attractive environments. You will actively participate in department quality/performance improvement activities and demonstrate appropriate policies and procedures. Additionally, you will perform other duties as assigned by management.
Duties and Responsibilities- Maintains patient and non-patient care areas, including floors, walls, ceilings, windows, doors, and all equipment and furniture, in a clean and sanitary condition.
- Cleans and disinfects areas using a 7-step cleaning process, adhering to universal precautions and safety guidelines.
- Practices infection control guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
- Maintains equipment, storage rooms, and environmental closets in an orderly fashion.
- Performs all floor maintenance tasks according to departmental policy and procedures.
- Fulfills Hospital required competencies and adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Minimum knowledge, skills, and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school or acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred: 1 year of housekeeping experience.
