FIG Audit Internship Opportunity


Doeren Mayhew is a leading CPA firm seeking highly motivated students for its Spring internship program.


The Public Accounting Division at Doeren Mayhew offers a dynamic and hands-on internship experience for students with a strong drive to pursue a career in auditing.


As a FIG audit intern, you will have the opportunity to specialize in auditing financial institutions, working closely with seasoned professionals.


During the internship, you will gain hands-on training in audit procedures, learn to utilize audit software, and develop an understanding of financial institution audits.


Your responsibilities will include working on engagement teams, gaining exposure to multiple client engagements, and developing your skills in financial statement preparation and analysis.




  • Work on numerous engagement teams with various audit Shareholders, Managers, Associates, and other interns
  • Gain exposure to 8-12 financial institution client engagements
  • Travel to client sites to perform audit engagements
  • Compile and analyze financial information
  • Test and document business transactions
  • Prepare and review financial statements



Requirements:


Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting


Completion of at least one intermediate accounting course by Spring 2025 preferred


3.0 GPA (cumulative and in accounting major)


Ability to take off Spring semester classes (January through mid-April) and work 40+ hours per week is preferred


Work experience preferred (related or unrelated to accounting)


Strong drive and motivation to pursue a career in public accounting


Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to take initiative via work experience and/or extracurricular activities


Excellent oral and written communication skills


Proven time management skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities


High degree of curiosity, willingness to learn, and enthusiasm
