About the Role

Excellence Community Schools is seeking a dedicated and ambitious Middle School English Language Arts Educator to join our team. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in cultivating the intellectual, artistic, social, emotional, and ethical development of our young scholars.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with our curriculum goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan units and lessons, and develop expertise in implementing instruction.
  • Assess student progress using various evaluation tools, and create small group instruction to address curricular and professional development needs.
  • Maintain a well-managed and stimulating classroom environment, and communicate effectively with parents on individual pupil progress.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching practices.

Requirements

  • CT Teacher Certification or reciprocity from another state in the equivalent area.
  • At least 1 year of teaching experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • Highly Qualified status.
