Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our team at Good Samaritan Society. As a valued member of our care team, you will provide exceptional resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to our residents under the supervision of a registered nurse.
About the Role:The Nursing Assistant serves as a caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long-term care. Your primary responsibility will be to provide age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the residents as per their care plan.
You will be considered a member of the nursing team and will be expected to know and adhere to infection prevention and control policies and Personal Protective Equipment use. Your tasks will include assisting residents with daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support.
You will also assist residents with transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment. Additionally, you will complete tasks related to food preparation and dining, while creating a positive dining experience for the residents.
Required Skills and Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
- Minimum age of 16
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement

The estimated salary for this role is $21.00 - $27.50 per hour, depending on location and experience.
