BGP Stores LLC is seeking a highly skilled Retail Operations Manager to join our team. This key role plays a vital part in supporting the Assistant Store Manager by overseeing daily store operations and ensuring exceptional customer experiences.

Job Summary

As a Retail Operations Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales performance, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of store presentation. You will work closely with the visual merchandising team to create attractive displays and collaborate with the inventory team to monitor stock levels.

Responsibilities:
  • Sales Leadership:
    • Establish and achieve realistic sales targets by working closely with the Assistant Store Manager to set goals and devise strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
    • Provide ongoing training opportunities for staff to improve their product knowledge, selling skills, and customer service abilities.
    • Analyze sales data, identify trends, areas for improvement, and devise strategies to optimize sales performance.
    • Lead by example on the sales floor, helping to drive sales while providing guidance and support to associates.
  • Customer Service Excellence:
    • Foster a culture of customer service excellence by encouraging team members to exceed customer expectations at every touchpoint.
    • Address customer complaints, returns, and inquiries in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner.
    • Proactively engage with customers on the sales floor to understand their needs and suggest products, creating a personalized shopping experience.
  • Operational Management:
    • Assist the Assistant Store Manager with day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure the store is prepared for business and secured at the end of the day.
    • Collaborate with the inventory team to monitor stock levels, ensure accurate inventory records, and replenish stock when necessary.
    • Ensure the store is always clean, organized, and visually appealing by overseeing regular maintenance schedules, including housekeeping, light repairs, and any issues that may arise.
    • Implement and adhere to company policies and procedures related to security and loss prevention.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of retail experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership abilities, with a focus on motivating, coaching, and developing team members to reach their full potential.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with customers, staff, and management.
    • A passion for customer service, with the ability to resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify opportunities and find solutions to challenges as they arise.
    • Multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and remain calm under pressure.
    • Knowledge of retail POS systems, basic computer applications (MS Office), and inventory management software.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $19-20 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
