Job Summary
The Department of Developmental Services - Porterville Developmental Center seeks a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Chief, Central Program Services/Educational to join our team. As a key member of our Central Program Services team, you will be responsible for monitoring educational and technical occupational programs in accordance with federal and state regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor educational and technical occupational programs to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Participate in the planning, development, and implementation of major components of educational and technical occupational programs.
- Evaluate services to clients and develop appropriate staffing patterns.
- Develop training and development plans for staff members.
- Establish service priorities and assist in developing and providing liaisons with community agencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Valid Administrative Services Credential issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in educational or technical occupational program management.
Working Conditions
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to respond to emergency situations. The incumbent must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance and participate in client containment, intervention, or restraint.
